Integrated IT Structure: ERP Systems
24
As soon as doctors start a treatment with a patient, all mandatory data is entered
into the ERP system and immediately made available to all employees, who need
to process those information further.
A typical example for such a procedure is the following: A patient starts a treatment
at the Kinderwunschzentrum Goldenes Kreuz. First an initial counseling with both a
doctor and the couple with the desire to have children is conducted. During this early
stage the doctor starts to enter all mandatory information into Quinni Pro, which
includes basic personal details, as well as a synoptic view over medical history,
prescribed medications and a further treatment plan. This is necessary in order to
check whether the couple is qualified for subsidization by the Austrian in-vitro fertility
funds or not. An entitlement provides patients with a 70% cost reduction. Otherwise
patients need to pay the entire treatment (including medications) by themselves,
because there is no financial support by public health insurance companies. At this
stage a division between medical treatment and administrative treatment is
happening. This divided approach is also visible in the ERP system.
