Trust in Cloud

Best Practice Examples

Aim of the initiative

What

Decision makers should be encouraged to actively take the first steps towards the cloud.

Aim of the initiative

This requires raising interest in the topic of cloud, strengthening trust in the products and in the competence of the providers, and building up know-how inside the organisation.

Raise interest

Make the topic of cloud visible and tangible.

Strengthen trust

In the products and in the providers' competence.

Build know-how

Inside the organisation, with your own test runs.

What TiC offers

TiC offers accounts of how well-known figures deal with the cloud and how the cloud was used successfully. Products and provider companies are not the subject. The information is prepared to be easy to understand and encourages people to engage with the cloud themselves.

In doing so they set an example of how to approach the cloud.

Effect

This is meant to motivate people to look at solutions, build up their own know-how and conduct test runs. That way unwarranted blanket objections can be broken down and an atmosphere of competent, critical discussion is created.

Motivating reports by trailblazers make other decision makers move away from an uncritical “no go”.

The ECE stream “Trust in Cloud”

The ECE stream “Trust in Cloud” introduces cloud customers and their strategies and experiences in cloud migration projects, so that other organisations can learn from them. Some cases show organisations at the very start of their migration project, others present the successes and the experience gained.

All TiC stories follow a strict principle: they are not marketing stories, and no advertising for products or companies is allowed. What matters is the experience others can learn from.
